EAR AND DARK - I Am Shy, Betty 7" (Mastermind!! Rec.) 4,90 EUR
This is the follow up on their great 10" that came out in 06. The recordings might be more trashy, but the catch up where they left. They still sound like a mix of KARATE PARTY, the EX, PERE UBU, JESUS LIZARD and EAR AND DARK... And check them out live, they are one of the best live bands in Denmark right now. Limited 300 copies

ECONOMIC DECLINE – Police Volvo 7" (No Front Teeth Rec.) Regular version is the one with the white car. 5,50 EUR
This is the first slab of wax from Welsh punks The Economic Decline who live by their motto: 'New Rebellion, Old Values’.The three cuts on here grab the bullshit by the horns, grapple it in the dirt and smash it's teeth in. Old school punk rock dealing with 21st century issues: damning war, political corruption and the demise of Britain. Killer lyrics, killer attitude. Good tunes, great songs. You can hear the Welsh Dragon roaring out of the grooves. Think the Sex Pistols merged with the Showcase Showdown.

EIGHT BALL - Angry 7" (Flaccio Rec.) 4 Euro

EL BLASZCZYK ROCK BAND HIMSELF - The Quirky Lost Tapes 1993-95 LP (Born Bad Rec.) 15,90 EUR
The cobbled music and strange pieces from the unpublished majority of The Quirky Lost Tapes 1993-1995 are as bizarre as the genesis of El'Blaszczyk Rock Band Himself. Recorded on tape, at times featuring his ten year old little sister, the irresistible charm of El'Blaszczyk's pieces reveal a delicious bawdiness that is reminiscent of the universe of Jean Yanne, Les Charlots or Boby Lapointe. This is vaguely rhythmic garage music. El'Blaszczyk explores such topics as illness, the French resistance during WWII and medicine in general - all adding to the uniqueness of it all. More than a joke, these pieces are subtle and accomplished, but something suggests that these recordings are also their first plays. In parallel to his schooling at the Beaux Arts, El'Blaszczyk was a student of Christian Eloy, the eminent composer of concrete music and head of the electroacoustic creation of class at the National Conservatory of Bordeaux.

ELECTRIC BUNNIES- Eskimo 7" (Floridas Dying Rec.) 5,50 EUR
Three songs off their incredible second demo tape that has been all the talk on uber nerd message boards. Great fucked up noise ridden pop songs

ELECTRIC BUNNIES - Through The Magical Door LP (Floridas Dying Rec.) 14,90 EUR
The ELECTRIC BUNNIES have been both praised and panned for the eclectic nature of their singles and with their first full length the naysayers should be silenced. This is their most cohesive release to date with 11 tracks which weave in and out of each other working more as two sides then as 11 free standing songs. This is seriously a modern psychedelic masterpiece. A concept album with out the pretense which comes off like a trip through an exotic paradise. An ode to their hometown of Miami. If I weren't so proud of this album I would have had some qualms with breaking the bank to give them the gatefold sleeves and four inserts they requested, but who wants to stand in the way of creative genius. I think people will be pleasantly surprised with the dual purpose of their gate fold sleeve.

ELECTRICUTIONS - FORGOTTEN CITY 7" (Windian Rec.) 5,90 EUR
Europe exclusive distributed by P.Trash Records!!!
Washington DC razor sharp early Punk/Political slashers with driving, air-tight, almost Power Pop hooks. One of the few bands that combine catchy well played punk rock with meaningful lyrics and don't sound like dicks about it. Produced by none other than KID CONGO POWERS. 300 Copies Black.

ELECTRICUTIONS - Same 7" (Big Neck Rec.) 5,25 EUR
Wow, pretty killer r’n’r with political lyrics! This is a real find. A cousin to THE REGULATIONS, not so literally but in old punk rock sound and lefty lyrics. How many times do you get a lyric sheet with a 45? Not freaking often, but this band has something to say, and the music to back it up. Stirring, powerful, and catchy, and from DC even. Pick it up now! Should be leading the way on Dischord, fitting into the DIY and the politics, harkening back to the bands that started the label. But it’s on Big Neck, maybe because it’s the brother of Odie from the BASEBALL FURIES.

ELEPHANT WALK - Swim The Sea 7" (Dusty Medical Rec.) 5,50 EUR
Dusty Medical recently released the debut single by the Milwaukee three-piece, ELEPHABT WALK. As a signifier to the revival of jangly, folkish strum that have seemed to pile up neck-high over the past couple of years with bands like GOODNIGHT LOVING, THOMAS FUNCTION and the SPIDER BAGS, ELEPHABT WALK are on a freshly swept dirt path of earthy, somewhat innocent, if not slightly drunk, music that is as timely as it is fresh. On their single here, they stroll through three solid slingers. The a-side and title track, "Swim the Sea" frolics along with the same sing-along quality as do the other songs, but builds to an open-chord neck-breaking pace that snaps off clean from the b-side. And on the flipside, their song, "Nadine" is a bit slowed down, and contains a hook that slides in a little too close to The The Dutchess And The Duke's song "Mary," but that's okay, because I'm pretty sure they took it from The STONES. (victimoftime.com)

EL VICIO - Longanisse 7" (Rococo Rec.) 5,90 EUR
El Vicio—Straight from the French garage underground and featuring members of Sonic Chicken 4, El Vicio's gritty hooks are reminiscent of a younger and angrier Roky Erickson. Feedback drags buzzing guitar riffs over solid bass lines, all powered by noisy effects pedals and primitive drums. The lead singer keeps a fast, sloppy pace and is egged on by melodically taunting backing vocals. The a-side is time-traveling garage-punk via The Cramps and is backed with a mid-tempo tune that sounds closer to a psychotic Serge Gainsbourg.

ECR was already on the Gun Club tribute covering Sex Beat and now is available the 2 songs debut single of this three man band (guit/drums/guit). A 4,30 mn tour de force of noise, dark & depressive vocals, slide fuzz and down tempo. B side: A contemporary love song.No happy end!

ESTRANGED - Same LP (Sabotage Rec.) 11,90 EUR
Past and present members of Portland hardcore mainstays such as Remains Of The Day, Hellshock, Warcry, Lebenden Toten, Deathmachine etc pull a 180 and dish out nine new tracks of icy, ominous postpunk. Since their last releases, The Estranged have dialed back the explicit aggression of their early records a bit, and dialed up the textured, atmospheric, layered sounds of prime 80s deathrock/postpunk. A little less US influence, a little more UK. A little less Wipers, a little more Cure/Chameleons UK/Joy Division, etc..

ESTROGEN HIGHS - Tell It To Them LP (Dead Beat Rec.) 12,50 EUR
After 3 mind bending singles, New Haven, CT's premier rockers the ESTROGEN HIGHS are back to give us another upbeat, jangley dose of primitive rock n roll. As the singles can attest, with the ESTROGEN HIGHS, the tunes are never to calculated. The playing is always loose, the ideas are always solid, and the end result is a pretty warbled, sloppy mess that comes together into something raw and unique. And I don't think that happens by accident. Their musical blue print definitely centers around the less is more aestetic, and they drill the point home with with overly catchy riffs bashed intoxicatingly into poppy garage precision. After listening to 'Tell It To Them' you definitely get the sense that each of the four members of the band have a pretty similar idea of what rock n roll is. There are probably more than a few overlapping Yardbirds, Gories, Cheater Slicks, Seeds, Real Kids, Kinks and Stones records in their collections giving them enough of an idyllic musical arsenal to really dish the goods. And dish the goods they do. On 'Tell It To Them', the ESTROGEN HIGHS take that less is more aesthetic and keep it honest, real and catchy by letting the music hammer out their blurry, scuzzy message. During a time when their definitely seems to be a lull in underground garage bands, it's nice to know that there are still a few killer bands that more than adequately fill the gap.

ESTROGEN HIGHS - Tour 7" (Self-release Rec.) 5,65 EUR
Rare shit!!!
New single from New Haven, Connecticut's ESTROGEN HIGHS. The band features Stefan from SUDDEN WALKS on guitar and vocals. On the A-Side is "Echo" a fast paced punk stomper featuring Mikey from MEDICATION playing the stylophone. And on the B-Side is "They Told Me I Was Everything" a track that shows the bands ability to slow down the pace without losing any power or intensity.

E.T. HABIT - Venomous 7" (HoZac Rec.) 6,50 EUR
My, how far we’ve come in this pithy, little universe we’ve created. Who would have thought that our interplanetary invasion would happen when we were least expecting it, and with such an extensively fancy percussion unit? Chicago’s protozoic cellular mass of prog/psych outer space noise, E.T. Habit has been inhabiting our secular sphere for many moons now, and we’re palpitating wildly in anticipation of their maiden vinyl forging on this debut 7? single. A nightmarish explosion of glitter and blood, culminating into their gut-wrenching, earth-moving early 70s je ne sais quoi, that can’t clearly be quantified with it’s Alice Cooper Band/Hawkwind comparisons so much as it’s theatrical ambiance...

ETHER - Die Rococo! Die! C46 Tape (Campaign for Infinity Rec.) 7,50 EUR
4-track 2 piece from Halifax, lo-fi guitar and drums with lots of tape samples added on. There is a Pussy Galore cover on this tape.

EVOLUTIONS - Go Too Far LP (No Fuckin Chance Rec.) 10,90 Euro
24 (!!!) track debut album on the nice No Fucking Chance Record label from Holland! And what a monster this is, packed with totally loud & insane punkrock, which will please fans of THE FATALS or THE PACK, all complete with the outta control vocals of Jamie King & Roy Oden!! These guys had a 45 on Kryptonite & Yakisakana (1999 & 2000) & this stuff was recorded inbetween 2000 & 2005!

EXCELSIOR - Punk Floyd 7" (It's Trash! Rec.) 6,90 EUR
Germany distributed by P.Trash Records!!!
Low-fi-as-fuck DIY garage punk rock from a four-piece group of Londoners. I’m not joking about the lo-fi-as-fuck part. It sounds like they are playing inside a trash can. Four songs about not being able to get laid, being broke, broken hearts, getting drunk, lame scenes, and “Undead Forth Reich,” an account of zombie Nazis that have an insatiable craving for blonde-haired, blue-eyed prey. Apparently, the motive is to create a new, Nazi army of the undead. I was unaware of the scores of films with this plot, so don’t get your panties in a bunch if you are über sensitive; I’m sure it’s just pretend.

EX HUMANS - Chicane / Detector 7" (Full Breach Kicks) 5,25 EUR
Brooklyn’s EX HUMANS are gonna rip it up! This is brand new, down and dirty, NYC punk rock. The EX HUMANS are Josh Martin, Todd Martin, and Jesse Martinez. They come from other killer bands: CARBONAS, BEAT BEAT BEAT, and The STAR SPANGLES. The EX HUMANS play fast and their songs are undeniably raw and catchy. This is the band’s first 7” single, and it features two songs you can drunkenly smash up your apartment to. The A-side brings us “Chicane”, a song about broken hearts and resentment. The B-side is “Detector”, a song about – you guessed it – broken hearts and resentment.

Limd. 100 "P.Trash Club" Edit. black wax! With deluxe silk-screened covers! 16,50 Euro
Brand new project of MISCALCULATION / SACCARINE SOUVENIRS' man of the hour - Mr. Palumbo himself! This time the Brit fades away deeper into the gloomy abyss of synth-based postpunk than ever before. And despite the great BLACKNESS which is all around on this platter, there are a lot of pop-structures going on, too!
With EXIT Londons´ punkrock superstar walks down the lane good ol´ GARY NUMAN and ADRIAN BORLAND built in the late 70s and DIGITAL LEATHER´s SHAWN FORREE rediscovered with "Monologue" and "Blow Machine" a while ago. Wavy beats, dancy darkness and yes, also those ´77-influenced vocals which Palumbo (lucky for us) just can´t shake off.
HIERARCHY OF LINE is the missing link between TUBEWAY ARMY, DIGITAL LEATHER, THE SOUND and THE GAGGERS you always wanted, but were too afraid to ask for!!

There must be some kind of magic potion which Mr. Palumbo pours into his morning coffee, otherwise there is no reasonable explanation how this jack-of-all-trades manages his daily workload. Besides playing in a gazillion of bands and projects, he also releases records for spazmos like you on No Front Teeth and Glass Eye Records and has only recently put out a new killer LP with his main band MISCALCULATIONS.
With THE EXIT, however, he once more lets out his fondness for dark and gloomy minimal Post-Punk and Dark-Wave. "Words of wounds" is already THE EXIT'S second longplayer, following last year's "Hierarchy of Line" and the "A Pressured Temple" 7inch shortly after. Musically, the 10 songs blend spheric synth sounds and echo vocals with slower beats and guitars, Wave, Post-Punk and Synth-Pop, and sound a lot like later THE DAMNED, THE CURE and JOY DIVISION, all topped by the snotty and distinctive voice of THE GAGGERS. The superb poetic words poke the wound of your fears and nightmares and make this record a disturbing and beautiful trip into the catchy darkness.
