JABBERWOCKY - Finger Poppin' Time&xnbsp; LP (Incognito Rec.)&xnbsp;3,90 EUR

JACKET WEATHER - When Shadows Move LP (Synthetic Shadows Rec.) 13,25 EUR
“For kids in the 1960s, the moment of inspiration was when they heard The Beatles for the first time,” Jacket Weather frontman Timothy Gassen says. “For me, when I heard Kraftwerk’s ‘Computer Love’ for the first time in 1981,I was hooked on making pop sounds with synths.” Gassen formed the pioneering minimalist-electro-wave act Jacket Weather in 1982, mixing dual Casiotone keyboards, real bass and drums — with the desolate imagery of the Arizona desert. “I loved the contrast of the synths with human percussion and the sensual backdrop of the desert,” Gassen adds. “We thought the tension of my cold, distant vocals and synths with the bombastic rock rhythm section made our sound unique.”
Described in their day as a cross between Joy Division and Young Marble Giants, with some Wall Of Voodoo mixed in, Jacket Weather etched their own minimalist sound. Staccato, expressionistic vocals accent the snake-like mingling of the Casiotones, while a steady dance pulse backs the eerie mixture. Equally enraptured with Euro-synth, English post-punk and Los Angeles punk-wave, Jacket Weather found inspiration from such opposites as Our Daughter’s Wedding to the Suburban Lawns for their Casiotone symphonies.
The band recorded a cassette album in 1982, released a six-song vinyl EP in 1983 (titled “When Shadows Move”) and also recorded a complete album that remained unreleased — until now. Original session producer Gassen (who has gone on to a career in indie rock and film) recently found all the master tapes — from early demos, to the EP tapes, to the unreleased album — and re-mastered and assembled them all into the collection that has been unheard for 30 years. It’s the dark and mysterious (Casio) tones of Jacket Weather that finally take center stage, three decades since they first drifted through the Arizona night.

JAROMIL SABOR - III LP (Frantic City Rec.) 12,90 EUR
Though he might still be a few steps away from his teen idols Slash and Bruce Springsteen, Jaromil Sabor managed to build himself a solid reputation among the French Rock scene during the last ten years. Growing-up in Bordeaux, he played silk-soft Pop songs with The Artyfacts before getting a little angrier, howling in Garage Punk band Arthur Pym & the Gordons. But it seems like it is only since he started his solo project that he was able to fully express himself… Back in 2012, « Marmalade Sculpture » gave a first insight into his obsession with well-wrought poetical Pop. Two years later the amazing « La Santa Roja » confirmed his lust for adventure. With this third record, Jaromil Sabor keeps doing whatever he likes without seemingly caring about anything around him – including current music trends. This truely is a frantic record and the sounds coming out of this piece of plastic picture a permanent battle between elaborate Pop melancholy and primitive Garage Rock energy. Soberly named « III », this record is announced on Frantic City Records - who already released a tape by Jaromil Sabor & Prêcheur Loup earlier this year - and to celebrate the release of his new record, Jaromil Sabor will be touring France, Switzerland and Belgium in February 2016 with a bunch of guys picked from bands such as The Fatals, Skeptics, Bad for Bugs and Prêcheur Loup.

J.C. SATAN – J.C Satàn LP (Born Bad Rec.) 15,90 EUR
Brutal and complex, furious and spirit-evoking, making spikes then descending, this album strikes the nail of black-garage-gospel with the hammer of Viking gods, right in the middle of a storm of decibels that lance the climate, electrically charged by each of J.C. Satan's coming shows. Imagine QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE backing SERGE GAINSBOURG during Mexico's Day Of The Dead.

JEFFREY NOVAK - Lemon Kid LP (Trouble In Mind Rec.) 19,90 EUR
By Josiah Hughes: To call Jeffrey Novak prolific is almost an understatement. The Nashville-based performer has amassed a deep catalogue of material with his garage-pop group Cheap Time, who will soon release of their upcoming fourth album Exit Smiles. In addition to that, he's also announced another solo album.
Lemon Kid, Novak's latest solo effort, marks his fifth overall and follows up last year's Baron in the Trees. The release is said to be inspired by artists as diverse as Ray Davies, Jon Cale, Brian Eno and Kevin Ayers.

JEREMY GLUCK - I Am Time / Breaks Me/Anybody 7" (Perpetrator Rec.) 6,00 EUR
Best known as the singer for British band the BARRACUDAS, Mister Gluck has been quietly amassing a body of solo tunes over the past decade & a half with a number of illustrious musical companions, most notably w/the late Nikki Sudden & Epic Soundtracks (of Swell Maps fame), Rowland S. Howard & the late Jeffrey Lee Pierce..... These tunes are out of a more recent batch and tap into a Velvets drone side of Mister Gluck's repertoire, a touch of Spacemen 3 in the proceedings, but all graced with the unmistakeable vocals of the BARRACUDAS man..

JERRY MACNEISH - Plays The Fireballs Songbook CD (NPR Rec.) 13,90 EUR

All four of them went down to Swampland Studios (of course!) in September 2012 just before leaving for a two-week tour in France and Belgium and recorded these three new tracks (including a Powder Monkeys cover). JESUS CHRIST SUPER FLY - Big Shit 7" (Rise Rec., Rare Kozik-Sleeve, red wax) 12 Euro

JIM AND THE FRENCH VANILLA - Afraid Of The House LP (Dirtnap Rec.) 19,90 EUR
Germany distributed by P.Trash Records!!!
Jim And The French Vanilla is the solo project of Jim Blaha from The Blind Shake. This is his 3rd album under the Jim And The French Vanilla moniker, but the first to be made widely available. (the first 2 came out on CDR-only and limited-to-100 LP, respectively)
The first 2 albums were acoustic, one-man-band affairs, but on Afraid Of The House, Jim (along with his brother/bandmate in Blind Shake Mike Blaha) expands to a full band sound, to astonishing effect. The basic songwriting retains the incredibly distinctive mystical, other-worldly atmosphere of The Blind Shake, but the instrumentation and sound are both stripped down to their essence, dialing way back on the heavy-psych stamp of the Blind Shake at their heaviest.
Raw, feral, but incredibly CATCHY, Afraid Of The House covers a wider sonic pallet than one might pick up on at first. From poppy to heavy, from atmospheric to wild, Afraid Of The House reflects a wide range of ideas and emotion, while maintaining surprising consistence throughout.
Always prolific, Afraid Of The House comes out a mere 2 months after the latest Blind Shake album, Celebrate Your Worth, released in November on Goner Records. Other recent releases include Shadow In The Cracks, Swami John Reis And The Blind Shake, and others that I’m sure we’re forgetting.

JIM TABLOWSKI EXPERIENCE / ALIEN TV - Split LP (Spastic Fantastic Rec.) 11,90 EUR

Alien TV got members of LIBERTY MADNESS and the early MODERN PETS and bring you 6 rapid melodic-punk songs between FAT WRECK and NO IDEA RECORDS.

JIVE BUNNY - Swing The Mood 12" (pic.disc) 12 Euro

JJ & THE REAL JERKS - Back To The Bottom LP (Dead Beat Rec.) 13,90 EUR
Distributed by P.Trash Records!!!
JJ & The Real Jerks drew first blood on a slew of killer singles and they're firing back with this ferocious slab spewing nearly a dozen hedonistic hits of primo Rock 'n Roll. I'm talkin' real deal Rock 'n Roll bred from the Bowery sleaze of the New York Dolls, the syringe-addled sounds of the Heartbreakers and the guitar slingin’ riff assault of the Dead Boys. 'Back To The Bottom' is a hot-blooded celebration of gutter chic decadence and bar room indulgence fired off with red hot, guitar licks and a glamtastic, rolling rhythm section incorporating twinkling, whorehouse pianos and a squealing, skronkin' sax. These west coast reprobates whiff of the same inner city sleaze as fellow riff 'n roll heathens like the Heartbreakers, Humpers, Berlin Brats, Joneses and The Dragons. With an arsenal of big guitar hooks, JJ & The Real Jerks strut with a ballsy twin-guitar attack heaving corrosive jackhammer leads over JJ's bleak cynical tales of living life in the not so glamorous side of Los Angeles. Special guest Greg Kuehn of the Joneses lays down some bad ass keys on the title track and the LP is adorned with fantastic artwork by Jimbo Phillips (front cover) and Darren Merinuk (back cover).

JOHNNY THROTTLE - Lost Sputnik 7" (Wrench Rec.) 5,25 EUR
"Lost Sputnik", Johnny Throttle's third single, and the second to be released on the Wrench label. Their debut release "Stukas Über Shoreditch" was released in 2009. Johnny Throttle formed in 2008 and have been playing drunken, beer-soaked gigs regularly since then. They play snotty, moronic and straight to the point punk. Probably London's snottiest punk band! They have also released material on Dirty Water Records and Crypt Records.

JOHN WESLEY COLEMAN III / FOLLOWED BY STATIC Split-LP (Way Out There Rec.) 12,50 EUR
"Way Out There" is a new record label based in the northern of Italy, run by Astrid of MISS CHAIN & THE BROKEN HEELS and Alberto of IL BUIO. Their name comes from deep love for folkway lifestyle, small towns, wooden houses, dream-catchers and, of course, fine and spontaneous music!
JOHN WESLEY COLEMAN III, A-side is called "Personality Pancake EP" and it features four crazy songs mixing punk-rock, Nuggets-era fuzzy guitars and the best tradition of garage rock'n'roll. Wes also plays guitar and sings with the GOLDEN BOYS and his solo records, out on Certified PR and Goner, blew our minds away!
FOLLOWED BY STATIC, B-side is called "Bacon Bear EP" and it just sounds great. Really, can you imagine when pop experimentalism meets the greatest rock tradition? That's the perfect armony between melody and noise. And then there's Cop Gloves, the "latest contender for single of the year"!

It’s been twelve long years between solo LPs from everyone’s favourite frontman, Jeffrey McCloy (TRANZMITORS / FASHIONISM). McCloy has long worn his anglophile leanings on his sleeve – if not his lapel – and on "Coffee, Tea & Me" we see him striking out on his own, putting on the Brit with gleeful abandon.
From the early WHO and KINKS to THE JAM and THE VAPORS, the musical influences aren’t hard to pick out. This is a mod revival, and a campy, tongue-in-cheek one at that. There’s songs about football, drinking tea (like, every other song), and evil widows who live at the end of the lane. It’s all silly, nostalgic fun, and McCloy absolutely nails it, thanks in no small part to his own self-awareness. “I look out of place but I feel no disgrace,” he confesses on the album’s closer, “English Way Of Life”.
Unlike previous projects that saw a full band backing him up at all times, on "Coffee, Tea & Me" the focus is largely on McCloy’s vocals. On songs like “Cellular Devices” or “Believe What You Must”, the sparse arrangements allow his hilariously affected yet oddly charming voice to take centre stage. When he does bust out the full band on numbers like “Kids These Days” and “World Made For Me,” no one is stepping on McCloy’s toes; the drums are tastefully understated and the keys give him plenty of space to breathe. These are pop songs after all, complete with the requisite harmonies and key changes, and damn if they aren’t catchy.

JUST WENT BLACK - Embracing Emptiness 10" (Assault Rec.) 9,90 EUR
After their highly acclaimed full length release „Tides” in 2005, Hamburg’s Just Went Black return with their brand new 10" EP, titled “Embracing Emptiness”. Passion is the name of the game and the six new songs leave nothing to be desired: raging fury and sheer power, as well as fragile melodies and moments packed with pure emotion. This is pure hardcore punk rock, and nothing else. Or wait a second - maybe it’s a lot more?! Devastating, ugly…and stunningly beautiful. We're doing out best to give this the deluxe vinyl treatment: heavy cardstock covers and printed inner sleeves.
